A few years ago, my journey began much like yours might have. I was a young professional fresh out of college, with a degree in related to environmental conservation from the University of the Philippines Los Baños. However, I felt a little lost when it came to managing my money and planning for the future. I knew I was meant for a life of adventure—one filled with hiking, travel, and the freedom to explore our beautiful planet—but a stable financial foundation seemed like a distant dream.

I’ve always been an introvert who expresses herself best through writing. I first turned to a blog in late 2024 to document my travels. But between work and bills, it felt impossible to keep up. My website vanished, and with it, my voice.

That setback taught me a valuable lesson: true freedom isn’t just about exploring new places. It’s about having the financial stability to do so on your own terms.

After months of learning, prioritizing, and slowly building my financial security, I launched Her Finance Journey on September 16, 2025. This space is my personal testament that a life of adventure and a secure financial future are not mutually exclusive.

Here, you’ll find real talk about personal finance. This includes creating a budget that works for you to saving for that dream trip. I’ll share how I’m building a digital nomadic lifestyle and offer practical advice on everything from finding cheap flights to mastering the art of a packing list.

I’ll also infuse my love for nature, art, and music into my writing, because a rich life is about more than just numbers. It’s about building a life that fuels your soul while also empowering you to take control of your financial destiny.
